Rich site built around a searchable database based on a transcription of the Chicago Police Department Homicide Record Index, the records of 11,000 Chicago homicides during this 60-year period. Looks at the homicides within a historical content; site includes a Chicago Timeline, information on people and events, photographs, and relevant reports, laws, statutes, and other publications. There is a also an online collection of video interviews primarily of academics with expertise on the history of crime and justice in the Chicago area, but which also includes an almost 10-minute rare interview with Clarence Darrow (c.1932).
