A. Criminal Justice Indexes and Abstracts

Social Sciences Full Text
The basic index for finding articles in the social sciences. Indexes over 550 of the core, English language journals in social science disciplines including criminal justice, sociology and social work, public administration, political science, public welfare, and urban studies. Indexes many journals back to 1982 and, beginning with 1995, includes many full-text articles. [Rutgers-restricted Access]
While Social Sciences Full Text will usually give you what you need for a basic research paper, if you're working on a more extensive project, or a more specialized topic, you may need an index with a more comprehensive criminal justice focus such as:
Criminal Justice Abstracts
Comprehensive index to journals, books, government publications, dissertations, and reports relating to criminal justice, criminology, and related disciplines from 1968 to the present. This index is based on materials found in the Criminal Justice Collection located in the Rutgers Center for Law and Justice in Newark, and is the most complete catalog for that collection. [Rutgers-restricted Access] Rutgers users may request items not available from other Rutgers University Libraries through Interlibrary Loan.
National Criminal Justice Reference Service Abstracts (NCJRS)
Index to over 190,000 criminal justice publications, including books, government and research reports, and journal articles from the early 1970s to the present. Includes links to full text documents when available.
Criminology, Penology and Police Science Abstracts
Index to books and about 475 journals worldwide with an emphasis on the causes of crime and juvenile delinquency and the theoretical aspects of police science and criminal justice. ALEXANDER 1992-1995 REF HV 6001 .E91

Includes U.S. policy documents, congressional hearings and reports, presidential directives, and reports from academic and other research centers and institutes, state and local agencies, and other selected organizations and entities. THOMAS - Legislative Information on the Internet
Browse or search legislation from the 93d (1973) Congress to the present. You can also search the full text of the Congressional Record from the 101st (1989) Congress to the present, and browse or search the full text of House and Senate committee reports from the 104th (1995) Congress to the present.
New Jersey Legislature Home Page
Search or browse the New Jersey Statutes, including Title 2C, The New Jersey Code of Criminal Justice [click on the plus sign to see the sub-section headings].
