Tests and Measurements
Rutgers University's Graduate School of Education had a relationship in the past
With a major contributor to the Test and Assessment field: Oscar Buros began his career at Rutgers, with the
Buros Measures Center. A complete set of Mental Measurement Yearbooks,
dating back to 1938 is available in the Rutgers Libraries. Accompanying print materials are part of the print
bibliography on test information held by Rutgers University Libraries.
Early efforts at collating tests and measurements have progressed to computerized testing, issues on
fairness of testing, National Tests, and tests for specific aptitudes for special programs
(Special Education, Gifted). The ERIC Assessment and Evaluation Clearing house contains
Assessment And Evaluation on the Internet, a comprehensive, well selected set of tests and measurement links.
A Short List of sites has been extracted from the Clearing house; inquirers are encouraged to use the
ERIC AE site for detailed information.
The Education Testing Center [Library located in Princeton, NJ]
has a site in which PRAXIS materials are available, for free and for fee. ETS also has the Test Locator,
useful in finding unpublished measures on many variables The use of complementary print and online tools
is encouraged for accurate and quick information location. In contrast to the other pages in this Guide,
the newer WWW resources are presented first; then older necessary information is presented.

The Buros site will provide information on which MMY or Tests in Print volume the test is described.
For a fee, one can use TEST REVIEWS ONLINE, the information is sent via download.
