- EPA - Data Systems and Software A U.S. Environmental Protection Agency supported site, this list has extensive data and software for public use. It is designed for both the environemntal scientist and the committed community environmental member.
- Federal Geographic Data Committee - FGDC This site is organized by the agency principly involved in the cooperative efforts of all levels of government, academia and the private sector for the production and dissemination of geospatial data. It is an exhaustive web site, and should be considered one of the first stops for geospatial data information.
