National Atlas of the United States

- United Nations maps and geographic information resources.
Perry-Castañeda Library Map Collection
- More than 5,000 map images from The Perry-Castaņeda Library Map Collection collection are available online. This collection consists of maps covering all areas of the world.
TerraServer
- TerraServer contains 3.3 tera-bytes of high resolution USGS aerial imagery and USGS topographic maps. You can locate imagery by city or town name or by U.S. street address.
Fact Finder
- U.S. Census Bureau American Fact Finder provides census boundary reference maps as well as a tool to view census data in graphical format for all geographies - national to individual census blocks. Data are available for Census 2000, the 1990 Census, the 1997 Economic Census, and 2002 Population Estimates.

The Modern Language Association Language Map
- A map of languages in the United States. The MLA Language Map is intended for use by students, teachers, and anyone interested in learning about the linguistic and cultural composition of the United States. The MLA Language Map uses data from the 2000 United States census to display the locations and numbers of speakers of thirty languages and three groups of less commonly spoken languages in the United States.

- Provided by UC Berkley Library, this dictionary decodes abbreviations and acronyms found in various publications including maps and websites. These abbreviations or acronyms, therefore, are not necessarily authoritative or standardized in format or content.
New Jersey Geological Survey Digital Geodata Archive
- The N.J. Geological Survey (NJGS) Digital Geodata Archive is a set of digital data files that can be retreived using Internet browsers for the World-Wide-Web. The archive includes NJGS Digital Geodata Series (DGS) products and other reference and utility files. DGS products include data sets compiled for use in Geographic Information System (GIS) software, and other software applications stemming from NJGS projects.

- A web-based portal for access to federal, state, and local maps, data, and other geospatial services.
NY State GIS Clearinghouse
- Search by subject, organization name or type. Also includes links to many other GIS related sites.
GIS Data Depot
- In order to access and download data GISDataDepot users are required to have a GeoCommunity account. Many data types of data (DEM, NWI, DLG, LU/LC, and TIGER) are available for free download. Most other data products (DRG, DOQ, DOQQ, FEMA) will require account holders to purchase data "blocks" for a nominal fee using their account.
