RefWorks for Germanists

RefWorks is a web-based citation tool that everyone affiliated with Rutgers can use after setting up a personal account via NetID via the Refworks link in the left navigation bar.

  • Detailed tutorial is available in bite-size modules
  • Download directly citations from databases if downloading is enabled (IRIS, WorldCat, EBSCO)
  • Import via an import filter [References>] if it is not (BDSL)
  • Add new references [References>] field by field if neither of the above
  • ArticleLinker within citations still works from within RefWorks, but subject headings don't
  • Generate bibliographies in the selected citation style
  • Import footnotes into your Word document using the Write-N-Cite plugin
