AIDSinfo
AIDSinfo is a U.S. Department of Health and Human Services (DHHS) project providing information on HIV/AIDS clinical trials and treatment. It is the result of merging two previous DHHS projects: The AIDS Clinical Trials Information Service (ACTIS) and the HIV/AIDS Treatment Information Service (ATIS). This web site provides information on treatment, prevention and research for AIDS.
AIDS Treatment Data Network
The AIDS Treatment Data Network, based in New York City is an independent, community-based, not-for-profit, organization that provides treatment access and advocacy, case management, supportive counseling, and English and Spanish language information services to the general public. This free service connects users to national treatment access and advocacy efforts

Similar to many web sites, many aspects of the disease are included here. The unique feature of this web site however is that it represents a compilation of HIV/AIDS information from many organizations, and provides for the exchange of ideas from experts and organizations.
Centers for Disease Control and Prevention: Divisions of HIV/AIDS Prevention
This government web site provides excellent referral, reference and prevention information on HIV/AIDS, STD and TB. It is one of the most comprehensive sites for research, statistical information and links to other AIDS resources, databases, directories, listservs, newsgroups and organizations providing such related HIV/AIDS services as counseling, health care, testing, prevention, education and outreach. Some of the most noteworthy resources included are "HIV/AIDS Surveillance Reports" and articles related to HIV/AIDS in "Mortality and Morbidity Weekly Report" and other materials published by the CDC.
HIV InSite AIDS Information
This comprehensive web site on HIV/AIDS is produced by the University of California at San Francisco. The University of California San Francisco and the San Francisco General Hospital. produce the online book "HIV InSite Knowledge Base". Authors of this work include more than 100 chapters are selected from among experts who are active in research, patient care, or policy.
The Joint United Nations Programme on HIV/AIDS
The United Nations Program on HIV/AIDS is co- sponsored by UNICEF, UNDP, UNFPA, UNESCO, WHO, and the World Bank. This web site describes a global perspective on all aspects of the disease. It is also a good source for international AIDS conferences.

CancerNet
This is the primary government web site from the National Cancer Institute for PDQ- Physicians Data Query for state-of-the-art information about cancer. It includes summaries on cancer treatment, prevention, clinical trials, and supportive care. It also provides links to CANCERLIT, NCI's primary bibliographic CANCER DATABASE to more than 1.4 million citations. The user has an option to search the database as a patient, as a health professional or as a basic researcher.

From a leading institution specializing in cancer care, this is another excellent resource providing the current thinking on cancer with many links to other organizations.

This University of Pennsylvania site is one of the best resources for cancer information. It has won many awards.
