CDC Wonder -- Centers for Disease Control and Prevention
Produced by the Centers for Disease Control, WONDER (Wide-ranging Online Data for Epidemiological Research) provides a single point of access to a wide variety of reports and numeric public health data. This provides links to surveillance systems and data sets on mortality, births, census data, cancer incidence and many other diseases.

FEDSTATS
This site provides for a one stop shopping center for U.S. federal statistics.

Healthcare Cost and Utilization Project. Agency for Healthcare Research and Quality,
HCUPnet is an on-line query system that gives you instant access to the largest set of all-payer health care databases that are publicly available. Using HCUPnet's easy step-by-step query system, you can generate tables and graphs on national and regional statistics and trends for community hospitals in the U.S. In addition, community hospital data are available for those States that have agreed to participate in HCUPnet.

International Classification of Diseases
The International Classification of Diseases, Ninth Revision, Clinical Modification (ICD-9-CM) is based on the World Health Organization's Ninth Revision, International Classification of Diseases (ICD-9). ICD-9-CM is the official system of assigning codes to diagnoses and procedures associated with hospital utilization in the United States. The National Center for Health Statistics (NCHS) and the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services are the U.S. governmental agencies responsible for overseeing all changes and modifications to the ICD-9-CM.

LexisNexis Statistical [Rutgers restricted]
LexisNexis Statistical unifies indexing previously available through three print products, the American Statistics Index, the Statistical Reference Index, and the Index to International Statistics. Full text or web links are provided for some citations, and the complete text of the Statistical Abstract of the United States is included in the database.

Medical Expenditure Panel Survey (MEPS)
The Agency for Health Care Research and Quality (AHRQ) gives data on the specific health services used, the frequency and cost of these services. The Medical Expenditure Panel Survey (MEPS) is a set of large-scale surveys of families and individuals, their medical providers, and employers across the United States. This Web site lets you access the results of these surveys. Here you will find detailed information on health care utilization and expenditures, health insurance, and health status, as well as a variety of demographic, social, and economic characteristics of a representative sample of Americans. You can review and download public use microdata files, access MEPS data presented in a tabular format, analyze MEPS data using online tools, and read and download a variety of analytic publications.

NCHS Faststats
The National Center for Health Statistics is the principal health statistics agency. The Faststats site provides quick access to statistics on topics of public health with links to other statistical data

This is a good site for health statistics as well as information on Health and data collections surveys, example are the National Health Interview Surveys and the National Health and Nutrition Examination Survey

World Health Organization WHOIS
The WHO Statistical Information System (WHOIS) is the guide to health and health-related epidemiological and statistical information available from the World Health Organization health indicators including graphs, tables and maps from 192 countries are provided on this web site.

This Web resource allows healthcare consumers to compare New Jersey hospitals based on a number of statistics regarding the care they deliver to patients. It's a service provided by the New Jersey Hospital Association and its member hospitals.

State Health Facts
Statehealthfacts.org is a project of the Henry J. Kaiser Family Foundation and is designed to provide free, up-to-date, and easy-to-use health data on all 50 states. Statehealthfacts.org provides data on more than 500 health topics and is linked to both the Kaiser Family Foundation website (http://www.kff.org) and KaiserNetwork.org (http://www.kaisernetwork.org).
