This compilation of films and videos covers the area of Latin America and the Caribbean. It includes an addendum of films and videos from Spain and Portugal. This list was compiled by Kim Osteem, one of our information desk assistants, under the supervision of the Latin America, Spanish & Portuguese, and Africa Librarian. You can access any of these titles using IRIS, our webcatalog. Films and videos are non-circulating material and are maintained by our Media Center.

His manhunt captures the nation's interest and his eventual trial is tainted by the extreme emotions of the country.

Abstract: In 1977, the darkest year of the military dictatorship in Argentina, fourteen ordinary women began to march. They risked their lives, defying the law prohibiting public meetings, by marching before the Presidential palace in Buenos Aires, in the Plaza de Mayo, demanding to know the whereabouts of their missing children. These middle-aged and elderly women, without formal political education, sparked both an Argentinian national movement and an international campaign for the release of all "disappeared" persons.
