Social Work

This is a guide to selected Social Work resources available in the Libraries collections and on the Internet. As an applied science, social work practice and research is interdisciplinary and draws from a range of disciplines including psychology, sociology, medicine, gerontology, public administration, policy studies, and economics. Alexander Library houses the main research collection in Social Work. Biomedical and psychology literature is found at the Library of Science and Medicine. IRIS, the Rutgers University Libraries online catalog should be consulted for materials related to social work that are located in the collections of any of the Rutgers University Libraries.
