Emma Goldman Papers Project
Located at the University of California, Berkeley, this project collects documents
written by and about this late 19th- and early 20th-century leader of American
radicalism and feminism.
Gifts of Speech: Women's Speeches from Around the World
Full text of speeches made by influential women, including many contemporary
activists, artists, writers, and educators. The web site is searchable by topic, speaker's
name, and year of speech.
Jewish Women's Archive
Features a searchable database of archival documents and images relating to Jewish
women. Also provides an online exhibit dedicated to "Women of Valor."
Making of America
Developed as a collaborative project by the University of Michigan and Cornell
University, this digital library provides access to primary sources (books and journal
articles) relating to 19th-century American social history from the antebellum period
through reconstruction. Among the sources collected in the University of Michigan
section of the project is the monthly periodical The Ladies' Repository, which focused
on literature, arts, and religion. Users may view scanned images of pages published in
this periodical between 1841 and 1876.
Margaret Sanger Papers Project
Established by the Department of History at New York University, the project offers
an archive of the papers authored by the founder of the U.S. birth control movement.
Rutgers University Special Collections and University Archives
Description of the various materials held in the Special Collections and University
Archives, which are located at the Alexander Library. The section called "Other
