Women's and Gender Studies

This guide provides a list of basic resources for conducting research in women's and gender studies at Rutgers Libraries and on the Internet. Mabel Smith Douglass Library houses the main collection on women's and gender studies and includes resources in the subject areas of sexuality and gender; sociology and history of the family; history of feminist movement and the struggle for women's rights; and feminist theory in its interdisciplinary and sociological manifestations. Alexander Library houses material in the area of history and literature of women, government documents related to women including United Nations and foreign and international documents.
