- Individuals who cannot satisfy their information requirements through their local public library, organizational library, or interlibrary loan may purchase guest borrowing privileges by submitting an application form and $100 annual fee by mail to Community Borrower Program, University Libraries Administration, 169 College Ave., New Brunswick, NJ 08901-1163. See the "Alumni and Community Borrowing Privileges" website for a link to the application form.
- Cards are issued by University Libraries Administration, and mailed directly to community borrowers. Issue an RUL Guest borrower card; write patron's name and expiration date on card. Mail the card along with a copy of the "Alumni and Community Borrowing Privileges" brochure to the applicant.
- The Community Borrowers Program covers individuals who formerly received privileges as Corporate, Friends of RUL, or Guest Researcher borrowers.
