Additional Information:
A number of PALCI libraries have agreed to extend free reciprocal borrowing privileges to each other's faculty so they may have direct, personal access to materials that are not available at the home institution.
If a PALCI faculty member presents a signed authorization form at a Rutgers circulation desk, register them as a GUEST borrower with one-year expiration and issue a plastic RUL guest borrower card. Forward the authorization form to Head, Univ. Libraries Access & Interlibrary Services, Alexander Library.
If a Rutgers faculty member requests an authorization form to take to a PALCI library: (1) verify the faculty's status and standing with the libraries, (2) fill out an authorization form, have it signed by the Head of Access Services on your campus, (3) make a copy of the form and send it to Head, Univ. Libraries Access & Interlibrary Services, Alexander Library, and (4) give original form to faculty.
A description of the PALCI reciprocal faculty borrowing agreement, a link to the authorization form, and a list of participating libraries are available on the PALCI web page http://www.lehigh.edu/~inpalci/ following the path: Information for Member Libraries/Resource Sharing (Patron Initiated Requests Project, ILL & On Site Borrowing program).
(Ask your supervisor for the user ID and password needed to access the page and application form.)
