- Encourage new faculty and staff to get an RUconnection card if they do not yet have one.
- Refer recently hired faculty who are not yet on payroll to the RUconnection Office to apply for a temporary Visiting Scholar card.
- The following employee types are included in RUL's employee data load and will have an online record with RU-ONLINE library, FACSTF profile name, and FACSTF status:
Type 1 - regular Faculty/staff including post doctoral associates
Type 4 - casual (hourly) staff
Type 7 - part-time lecturers
- These employee types are not included in RUL's employee data load: Type 5 (students), Type 6 (Graduate and Teaching Assistants), Type 8 (co adjunct casual faculty), and Type 9. Types 5s are issued student RUconnection ID cards and included in RUL's student data load. Type 6s are issued TA/GA RUconnection cards and are included in RUL's student data load. Type 8s are issued RUconnection guest ID cards if the department head requests. Type 9 post doc fellows are given an RUconnection Post Doc Fellow card; all other type 9 employees may be issued Visiting Scholar cards.
