- Students from other universities enrolled in summer session will have RU-ONLINE records. The summer session expiration date varies each year, usually around August 15. Write SUMMER and expiration date on plastic cards. Rutgers students taking summer classes should already have their RUconnection cards with 11/01/yr** expiration date. The RUconnection Office does not routinely issue photo IDs to non-RU summer students, but will upon request (for a fee). They look like Guest RUconnection cards but say SUMMER SESSION instead, show a valid time span (for example 05/28/02-08/16/02) plus the school and NM (nonmatriculated) designation.
