Students, faculty, and staff must login to OIT's online change address form with a OIT email account. OIT verifies users based on their OIT email account.
If students, faculty, or staff have forgotten their OIT email password, they will need to reset it. They can go in person to the Help Desk in the basement of Hill Center Room 005, Mon.-Fri., 8:30am -4:30 p.m., or they can go to one of the Computer Labs during password changing hours. Check OIT's web site http://oit.rutgers.edu/ for current Help Desk and password changing hours at the labs.
Some faculty and staff use only departmental email accounts (for example, physics and scils) and therefore are unable to login to the OIT online address forms to make changes. If they created an OIT account a long time ago and have forgotten the password, see directions above for resetting passwords. If they've never created a OIT account, they will need to create one before they can make changes to their Rutgers Online Directory record using the online form. If they choose not to create an email account with OIT, they will need to get a paper ADR form from their department and fill it out.
Library staff may contact Keri Budnovitch, Manager, Education & Information Services, Computing Services, at kbudnov@mssg.rutgers.edu and TEL: 732-445-1762 with questions. Refer patrons to the OIT Help Desk, 732-445-HELP, for additional assistance (NOT to Keri). OIT Email Help addresses for each campus are available on the OIT web site.
Adapt standard replies to use with Ask a Librarian barcode registration and PIN questions, when forwarding bounced email Notices, and when communicating in person with patrons.
