PALCI Hold Timing Explanation

What happens when you have pulled a PALCI from your hold list, but when you try to process it in PALCI, it has already been shipped by another Rutgers library.

Chris Sterback explains the timing issue:

Example sequence:

11/30 Hold placed by URSA
12/1 6:40 Pull list shows hold for Camden (Alex copy checked out)
12/1 11:01 Math discharges Alex copy and since URSA has hold on this one and the Camden item is still not trapped, the Alex copy becomes trapped.
12/1 13:30 Math ships PALCI loan.

This does not happen often, but when it does happen, this is why.
