Within a 24 hour period, Special Collections staff will determine whether or not the item
can circulate. If it can, retrieve the material, complete a Call Slip (in the Patron field
write RDS-ALEX and the name of the staff person who contacted you), and leave both at the
Service Desk and reply to RDS staff's email request.
Secure a In House Use Only band around the book, and process the material as you would any
other In Library Use Only loans.
When an item is returned, remove the band and return to Special Collections.
