Librarian wins award
at county fair
One of our New Brunswick Libraries colleagues, along with her husband, was celebrated at the
2005 Middlesex County Fair. And it wasn't for owning the winner in the pig races.

Stephanie and Ed Bartz received the volunteer of the year award, to honor their twenty-three
years of joint service to the fair. They received plaques and praise from the Middlesex County
Board of Chosen Freeholders and the Middlesex County Fair Association.
Stephanie, who has worked at the fair for 31 years, started volunteering at the annual event in
high school. Ed, an electrical engineer for the Rutgers Physics Department, began his volunteer
service when he and Stephanie were engaged and has continued ever since. Ed established and
chairs the woodworking competition while Stephanie serves as the webmaster. They have also
played many other roles at the fair over the years.
Congratulations to Stephanie and Ed on receiving this well deserved award!
Colorful news from Imaging Services
Imaging Services purchased new photocopiers. One replaced one of the main units in the Imaging
Services office in Alexander Library. This machine is networked and capable of copying and
printing in color as well as stapling for booklet finishing. Besides making color copying
available for patrons, administrative copying will be available, which will save on the costs of
outsourcing and printer supplies. Administrative printing, color or otherwise, can be done by
directing Imaging Services staff to a file on the network.
