in RUL and NBL
RUL:
The Order Coordinators (YL and RM) will create brief
records and control records for new subscriptions (paid, gift, mailing list).
If a fully catalogued record already exists for these types of material, the
Order Coordinators will create and attach control records.
NBL: (including any Dana titles
received at LSM)
The Bib/Cat Coordinators (PC/Alex and NS/LSM) will
create brief and control records for title/major changes, tangible format
changes, for certain RECON titles (esp. docs.) that we continue to receive, and
for new US Depository titles received thru the MARCIVE program. If a fully cataloged record already exists
for these types of material (including other material such as titles from the
MARCIVE serial load project), the Bib/Cat Coordinators will create and attach
control records.
The Bib/Cat Coordinators will also create brief records for gift backruns. If a fully cataloged record already exists, the Bib/Cat Coordinators will give the material to the Holdings staff for processing.
The Receiving Coordinators (YL/Alex and SC/LSM) will
create brief and control records for any new title that comes thru a membership
or package. They will also create control records for any print copy that
starts to come with an online subscription (upon selector verification of
continued print maintenance), for any newly catalogued NJ Depository serial
titles, and for any currently received, fully catalogued titles that need
control records.
The Order Coordinators (YL/Alex and RM/LSM) may be asked to create control records for newly cataloged serial titles that come directly from Serials Cataloging to the Bib/Cat Coordinators. Further investigation may be needed based upon purchase order record information.
