Serials: Receiving

Responsibilities

The Receiving Focus Group is responsible for receipt of serial subscriptions for the Humanities and Science libraries and branches located in New Brunswick as well as for the Dana library in Newark. Receipts for East Asian library and Special Collections serials subscriptions are also handled. We are based out of two centralized locations; Alexander library for the Humanities, East Asian Library, and Special Collections and the Library of Science & Medicine for the Sciences and Dana library.

The Receiving Focus Group is responsible for:

• Receipts of Serial Subscriptions.
• Maintenance of serial control records.
• Initiation of bibliographic, bindery, claiming, replacement, cancellation, and cessation activities.
