Support University's Goal of Achieving Academic Excellence in Programs
- Complete Libraries' Strategic Plan
- Begin identifying resources and services to support university and campus designated areas of academic excellence
- Finalize the excellence indicators and begin targeted assessments
- Conduct formal test beds of the repository with departments at Rutgers
- Develop mission, policies, and practices for the repository
- Conduct an education program on the repository within RUL
- Initiate Media preservation survey and formalized procedures
Enhance Student Life and Learning and Campus Facilities
- Enhance information literacy by completing SearchPath
- Incorporate information literacy into undergraduate curriculum discussions
- Educate all of RUL on information literacy competencies
- Implement NET ID
Enhance Service and Constituency Relations
- Form Marketing Communications Team; begin implementation of selected recommendations; and arrange training
- Explore user data exchange and service agreements with UMDNJ and NJIT
Expand Resources Comparable to Peer AAU Institutions
- Develop 24-month plan for fundraising
- Review policies/procedures for private and non-private grants to ensure that all grants are strategic, enduring, and are managed appropriately
Build Leadership and Administration
- Complete recruitment of senior positions
- Implement recommendations of Task Force to Increase Faculty Diversity
- Continue to assess organizational structure and culture to support strategic directions
