Minutes of February 10, 2009 Meeting

Present:

We will ask University Police Officer Richard McGilvery to provide information sessions about Lock Downs for library employees during spring recess at TAS and in each of the New Brunswick Libraries (two in Alexander). Will find out who will do in Newark for Dana Library. Camden has had a session. Marilyn Wilt is coordinating this program for the H&S committee.

The balance of the meeting was devoted to the emergency manuals. We went through each section of the manual and the committee identified what sections need updating and sections to add, e.g., a Lock Down procedures page, Evacuation and Congregation Sites. We should have a draft manual for our next meeting. Manual will be paginated, uniform, and stored electronically in the Libraries HR office so changes and updates will be facilitated.

Next meeting will be in March.
