This fall, RUL will participate in project SAILS. Eileen will be the primary contact for the activities surrounding this project. An announcement for participation will be sent out soon. It will involve participation of close to 2000 students in assessment tests. Prizes will be drawn for students with about 20-25 winners. Proctors and monitors for tests will be needed between 8-10 p.m. More details will follow. Further discussion about needs and requirements for holding the assessment ensued.
Sam distributed a sheet with suggestions and ideas for editing; rollout, and quizzes for the information literacy online tutorial. Some ideas for the kind of reports that could be created with data from the use of the tutorial were suggested. ISC is currently planning the information it will need to conduct a proper assessment of the tutorial, and looking at the different kinds of marketing strategies it needs to employ for promoting the tutorial.
Jeanne encourages ISC to develop budget requirements for all the programs and projects planned for the current fiscal year.
