Minutes from the August meeting were distributed via email but have not yet been reviewed and approved for distribution.
The problem with the numbering of records in the Reserve displays persists. Bob continues to work on it and has been in contact with someone at the College of William and Mary who is also working on the problem. As a next step, Bob will try changing the number of records that display on all results pages throughout IRIS from 20 to 50.
Release notes for the new version of Unicorn were reviewed. Bob and Stephanie will also re-review Release Notes for previous versions as time permits.
Most of the enhancements listed in the e-Library section of the GL3.1 Release Notes are not relevant to IRIS, not desired, or are features that need to be looked at by other groups. IPAC agreed to turn on and look at 2 enhancements:
Two new status codes, PRSRVATION and LOCALMAINT, are being developed for IRIS. PRSRVATION is already in use. Additional information is forthcoming.
A demonstration of Director's Station and the options that are available in the OPAC module was given. Because only the current month, plus one month of historical OPAC data is retained in Director's Station, any data that would be useful for the long term must be downloaded on a monthly basis. IPAC will devote a future meeting to configuring a standard report to pull data each month. Snapshots of data, including actual searches and sessions, can also be taken as needed.
Stephanie will book the rooms and equipment for the spring IPAC meetings:
Next meeting: October 19, 2006, 1:30 p.m., University Librarian's Conference Room
