John asked if there was a way to search IRIS to capture all holdings for "graphic novel", rather than request a new subloc. The 655 tag (genre form term) is not consistent in IRIS, and graphic novel is used as a subject heading also. Vib volunteered to explore the possibilities.
Bob W. has made progress in the design of the Deliver/Recall book button, to be context sensitive as to a status of on-order or pending; or in a non-circulating library or sublocation. He is working on the algorithm to implement. If the only copy is in process, only the Request article/other button is displayed. As for button bubbles, it should be explored for all buttons, not just E-Z Borrow; what a truly helpful dialogue might be is the question, tabled for now.
IRIS downtime message:

Please note that IRIS is scheduled to be down every Sunday from 3:10 to 3:30 am local time.
The message for call number searches with large gaps in the browse return list will be amended to:
Sorry could not complete list, perhaps because of options. Too many records have been disqualified.
Decided to leave browsers message for IRIS where it is on the home page.
Bob will explore RSS feeds with other SIRSI sites re: new books web page clickable from within IRIS.
Dave Hoover is exploring possibilities for restricted 856 access to prompt for login at first attempt. Bob will discuss with Dave and include in the test catalog.
