a) The list of online resources for US government publications is too long in its current form. It will be broken down as follows:
b) Diacritics for foreign languages are not displaying correctly. Bob will work on this as a priority, but it may not be fixed before the site is made live.
c) Short introductory paragraphs will be added to each of the subpages so that users will have some context if they bookmark the page or follow a link to it. For the Subject, US Gov, and Media subpages the text will be as follows (IRIS will not be linked from this text):
"This page identifies materials which were added to IRIS, the Rutgers University Libraries' online catalog, and made available in the Libraries during the month indicated above.
Click on a check IRIS link to determine which Rutgers libraries own a title as well as the current availability of that title."
For the Online Resources subpages the introductory text will differ slightly:
"This page identifies materials which were added to IRIS, the Rutgers University Libraries' online catalog, during the month indicated above.
Click on a check IRIS link to get electronic access to a title."
d) The last paragraph of the introduction on the main page will be revised to read:
"While viewing any list, click on a check IRIS link to determine which Rutgers libraries own a title as well as the current availability of that title, or to get electronic access to an online title."
e) The introductory paragraph on the main page of the archived month will be removed. The "About" sections at the bottom of the page will remain.
f) "This just in " will be implemented for the first week of the spring semester. Harry has already given Sam the news item for posting.
Now that the upgrade to 3.2.1 is complete, IPAC will look at Revision D in order to determine whether there are new features we would like to implement. Bob will put Revision D in the test system in early February, with prior notification to the group working on media bookings.
Six items were identified for inclusion in the mid-year report: item type changes, work on "This just in ", response to feedback and SCILS usability study, review and signoff on 3.2.1, changes in committee membership, and work with Reserve Group. Stephanie will draft a report and send it to the committee for final review.
The User Initiated Bookings Group is working on testing the system and setting parameters. IPAC will need to look at revisions to IRIS before the new feature is implemented.
