Adobe Acrobat Upgrade

Computer terminals which are used for Reserve processing will receive an update to Adobe Acrobat 9. Daryl sent the following link: www.whatismyip.org to obtain IP’s in order to facilitate installation of Acrobat 9.

Testing of Symphony 3.2.1

New version of Workflows; Symphony will be available at the end of the month. Testing of Symphony will be carried out by a sub-group consisting of: Eva, Joe, Kevin, Gill, Shaun, Abdullah, and Penny. The group was encouraged to review the Release Notes. To access:

4. Click on “Useful links”
5. Click on “SirsiDynix unicorn documentation”
6. Scroll to last group of links, and look at both Symphony 3.2 and Symphony 3.2.1.

Removal of temporary records

The Reserves Exceptions Report will be run on the 22^nd of September. Penny will send each unit their respective reports via email.

Discussion Topic - Future Projects

Standardization of abbreviations

It was decided that official procedure for creating a course for reserve processing is to copy directly from the schedule of classes’ website. Therefore standardization of abbreviations is not necessary at this time.

Review of web documentation

Zohreh, Eva and Ramon will work on updating the online documentation outlining procedures which have since become outdated. Penny will also be attending.

Design of online form for submission of e-files

There will be a redesign of the online submission form. This project will be on the agenda during for the next meeting.

Information Sharing

New Item type – status of the work

All present reported little or no problem in processing Reserves using the new item types.
