STAFF RESOURCES |
The subgroup, Rose, Alfreda, Marc and Gill met to discuss this recently. The group reviewed and discussed a draft of the proposal to implement an online job application and information about hourly library positions on the RUL site. Currently information about library Human Resources is accessed from the main page via "About the Libraries". It is proposed that a heading for Hourly Employment will be added in the Employment Opportunities list. Clicking on it will give information about working at the libraries and provide an online application form. There will be a link to the main student employment site at studentwork.rutgers.edu for job listings. We still need to determine access and storage issues for the online application information. A database with filters and searching capacity would be preferred.
Rose and Marc will work on the conversion of the student site next week Files that are no longer needed will be deleted. The Sakai site will contain generic information on Access Services, not details specific to any branch or department. It will include FAQs and quizzes.
It is expected that the packages for Fall 2007 will be very similar to those used last year, however the group will still review the packet as a whole in the July meeting to see if any changes other than the guide cover are warranted this year. Documents will be online so that group coordinators can print what they need.
The Workflows C Client training program for students (currently an HTML program in WebCT) will be converted for training on the J Client. One on one training will be done for our summer students as there is not many of them at the moment. The updated HTML program will be available in Sakai for students returning in September to review.
Rose will set up the Sakai site group information and post handouts for the orientation packets as well as draft documents for current projects.
