1) Announcements

A Doodle poll will be distributed for our August lunch. The date will be the second week in August. "On the Border" on Route 1 South is the usual location, but Rose is open to any other suggestions.

SCG members are asked to review the content of the orientation packets on the Libraries' website so we can make revisions for the fall. (See Student Coordinators page)

Rose is completing the proposal to recommend extended hour employees receive pay increases.

2) Student Employee Workshops (update)

Five group members have replied to the Doodle Poll so far. More volunteers are requested.

The timeline for the workshops will be based on the needs of the student workers. Our tentative timeline is: Security/Harassment (October 2015), Libraries' Website (November 2015), and Customer Service/Phone Etiquette (February 2016). After last semester's workshops, we realized that students want more interactive workshops. We will keep this in mind when developing future workshops.

Rose will also look into Springshare's Libstaffer.

The issue with Mailman is that certain ISP providers such as Yahoo and Aol will not accept emails sent through Mailman. Chiaki will get back to the SCG on this matter and come up with a name for the listserv.

5) OCLC Workshops

Liza, Jean and other members took the self-paced courses offered through OCLC's WebJunction. Their findings were:
