Training and Learning Advisory Committee: Charge

The primary charge of the Training and Learning Advisory Committee is to offer professional development programs that enable faculty and staff to more capably support the Libraries' current strategic plan, and to evaluate the effectiveness of that programming. The Committee will provide opportunities for faculty and staff to develop the skills necessary to thrive in a culturally aware environment where they are encouraged and invited to build and enrich their leadership, supervisory, interpersonal, functional, and technology skills.

Objectives

• Design and implement learning curricula to address identified needs of individual employees, with various tracks or learning themes available utilizing face to face, online and other emerging instructional technologies.

• Design and implement a training and learning infrastructure that facilitates communication and supports successful implementation of the programs and the overall process.

• Develop assessment plans to evaluate programs to continuously improve their effectiveness.
