Rutgers University Libraries Professional Development Suite Proposal
- Maintain two themes: Leadership Development and Technical Skill Development
- Offer "umbrella" programs for everyone in RUL Community plus "parallel" development programs for faculty librarians and RUL staff
- In consultation with HR professional development colleagues on each campus, design and prioritize programs for each campus
- Articulate, cultivate and develop partnerships both within RU and outside to support the effective design and implementation of the suite
- Develop guidelines to support effective budgeting and coordination of both individual and larger unit professional development needs

- Strategic planning series, beginning with Dr. Lovett's program, July 22
- Diversity awareness and expanded understanding
- Collaborative Development Series [consider enhancing understanding of new RU customer service standards, etc.]
- Microsoft Office workshops - offer programs both AM and PM?
- Technical Skill Development Series in partnership with PCWG - new employee technical orientation and more [preceding with development program for PCWG covering issues including effective troubleshooting, problem-solving]
- Leadership Institutes - using resources/facilitators both within RU and outside
