Minutes of October 9, 2003 Meeting

1. Content Group Report (T. Haynes)

• Finding aids: the review is almost complete, pending final input from Camden librarians; new LSM pages in PDF now available
• Class instructional pages: S. McDonald will provide streamlined procedure for handling these as well as new finding aids
• Site map: prototype is to be reviewed by WAC soon
• Research Guides: a reminder for updating should be sent to authors; K. Au will draft memo for review
• Wireless network access: laptop FAQ now available as part of Ask-a-Librarian FAQs

2. Design Group Report (S. McDonald)

• There are new images on the front page
• Site re-design: has to be considered by Feb 2004 after CMS roll-out

3. Webmaster Report (S. McDonald)

• Update on CMS implementation: some technical glitches may delay full roll-out

4. Liaison Reports

• IPAC: to meet about redesigning IRIS front page
• Systems: D. Hoover confirmed CMS problems with system performance but continues to work with S. McDonald and S. Ellis to resolve difficulties. Also mentioned some minor changes with Ovid and EbscoHost software.

5. Assignment

WAC members are to test and verify use of MSIE with cable modem access.
