The summary report for the Libraries' outreach activities for the period July 1999 through June 2000 is enclosed. The report this year is presented in chart form.

Again, the Libraries' provided programs for elementary and high school students, New Jersey teachers, business people, and professionals. The work with high school students and teachers was expanded, and there were more participants from abroad reflecting a new emphasis on global outreach. The overall number of participants rose from 537 in the previous year to 1,794, an increase of 234%. The total hours spent in this effort rose from 1,138 to 4,209, an increase of 270%.

On the Newark campus, the Dana Library is working closely with Robert Nahory on a number of programs. Dr. Nahory's activities, many of which center on the library or involve librarians, are listed on pages three through five of the report. This effort is in addition to the work enumerated above.
