Minutes of June 17, 2003 Meeting

Present:: K. Au, S. Bartz, M. Belasco, A. Butman, T. Joachim, P. Johnson, K. Kuehl, D. Kuzma, J. Maxymuk, D. Voorhees.

1. Systems Update

Upgrades to Netscape7 and SSH have been completed. An upgrade of MacAfee will follow. Alexander will transition this week. Camden s transition is proceeding; Systems will come down to do the public machines.

A new version of the public printing software is being tested and will be installed this month. Also being tested as possible replacements for Foolproof are Secure PC, Deep Freeze, and Fortress with Cleanslate.

2. Current Support Documentation

The changes to the revised version of Microcomputer Support in the Rutgers University Libraries (attached) were accepted, and John will forward the revised document to Grace Agnew for further review at TSC.

3. Digital Architecture Working Group document

The DAWG paper on RU servers was discussed.

4. Old/New Business

Vacation mail forwarding problems were discussed.

5. Future Meeting Dates

The next meeting is scheduled for August 19. As usual on Tuesday, 10AM in the TSB Conference Room.
