There are 4 installs left for NB Libraries in addition to one for ILS and another for TAS.
The Ariel upgrade is still not ready.
VLANs for video conferencing end units will be requested and moving the equipment over to them will hopefully be done by the end of the month.
Systems is investigating the email problem on Camden public pcs.
All our Best Practices' pages have been checked for updating. Updated pages should be uploaded to the RULS site.
Anne B. has passed the recommended changes on to Sam McDonald for updating.
We discussed our list of endpoints as they relate to BookRoom. Nick will touch base with Shaun Ellis about this.
Rich Sandler joined the group and will be bringing news and needs from the Media Services front.
Rich has cordially invited Nick, who graciously accepted, to join him and the SCC in examining software such as Click to Meet that may improve the data transfer weakness of our existing videoconferencing setups. Nick will act as the Systems liaison and let pc support staff know what developments are made and any needs that are the result of the developments.
Mary reported her problems trying to access RCI email from MyRutgers have been resolved.
The public machines are now off warranty. Systems has some spare parts for these machines and will buy others on an as needed basis. Because of the need to deal with the vendor, turn around times will be increased slightly.
Stephanie agreed to look into the problem of Kilmer's server overheating because of a ventilation problem in the server closet.
The next meeting is scheduled for December 20. As usual, on Tuesday, 10AM in the TSB Conference Room.
