Scheduled Reimaging of Public Computers is complete
Included in the new public image is the ability for RUL patrons to print to an OIT printer, if there is OIT Lab in the library. This only works on XP machines.
Anne found a product that syncs mobile devices to the Zimbra calendar product and will begin testing by the end of the month.
The PCWG had its Jan 19th meeting online using Adobe Connect Pro desktop videoconferencing software. The intent was to see if it could be used as a convenient alternative to the large room videoconferencing systems currently in use. We will discuss our finding at the next meeting. Joe A, John G, Nick G, Chris S, Andrew R, and Rich S. will research and test other desktop videoconference systems.
Andrew reported: that all of the media staff PCs have been reinstalled in their new space in the Douglass Library. Nick has remapped their Network homes from the Kilmer to Chang library.
The Fordham Lab computers have been reimaged for the Spring Semester. The Lab will be open for longer hours this semester.
Chris Singh reported that Newark has purchased a new Polycom (video-conferencing equipment)
