Online Learning at ALA
ALA offers a wide range of library-related online learning?covering fundamentals, advances, trends, and hot topics. Their programs are offered via computer, using the internet via a Web browser, and perhaps also using other software for coursework, video or audio files. The programs may occur once or at regular intervals, may be downloadable anytime, or require a reservation to participate.
Center for Creative Leadership (CCL)
CCL is an internationally recognized resource for
understanding and expanding the leadership capabilities of individuals and organizations from
across the public, private, nonprofit, government and education sectors. Their services include
both open-enrollment and customized leadership training offered at their four campuses and
affiliate locations and coaching and assessment programs for organizations and individuals.
Metropolitan New York Library Council (METRO)
METRO offers classes, seminars and online
learning programs to help their members develop professional skills in the areas of technology,
management, leadership, communications, and library operations. METRO programs are led by
industry and academic professionals and help librarians, library support staff, and other
information science professionals prepare for changing roles and broader professional

LYRASIS
LYRASIS offers their nationally recognized classes and instructors in programs available online and on-demand. They also offer discounted training packages and customized in-person training to meet specific needs. Search their catalog of scheduled classes and events.
New Jersey Library Association (NJLA)
NJLA maintains a calendar of training events throughout
the state, offered by the regional library cooperatives, the New Jersey State Library, and the
American Library Association.
Central Jersey Regional Library Cooperative (CJRLC)
CJRLC offers computer lab training
introductory, intermediate, advanced, in Access, Flash, Illustrator, PowerPoint, Adobe Acrobat,
Front Page, Java Script, QuarkXpress, Dreamweaver, Go Live, Outlook, Word, Excel, HTML, and
Photoshop.
Eastern New Jersey Regional Library Cooperative (INFOLINK)
INFOLINK offers at their training
centers hands-on workshops in a variety of desktop applications, Internet use, website
development, and the use of online databases. The courses are both half-day and full-day.
Highlands Regional Library Cooperative
HRLC offers technical training, demonstrations,
continuing education workshops in four training centers, both half-day and full-day programs.
South Jersey Regional Library Cooperative
SJRLC's Premiere Initiative for Continuing Education
offers highly affordable workshops, trainings, classes and continuing education opportunities
including self-paced e-learning.
