To find a journal, magazine, or newspaper article in the most popular databases in your subject area, enter your search term(s) and choose a subject from the pull-down menu. To view a complete list of indexes and databases available at Rutgers, click on View all databases. For more information see "How Do I Find an Article?"

To find books and more in the Library Catalog, enter your term(s) and select a search type in the pull-down menu. For more information see "How Do I Find a Book?"

To find a print or electronic journal in the Rutgers collections, enter its title or keywords in the title and select the appropriate search type in the pull-down menu. For more information, see "How Do I Find a Journal?"

To find a list of books, textbooks, and electronic articles placed on course reserve by your instructor, enter your instructor's last name and search. You can also use the pull-down menu to search by course title or number.

Holds

You may put a hold on a book which is out at the Circulation Desk. Please have all of the information handy. You will be notified by email.

Lost and Found

The Lost and Found is located at the Circulation Desk. Please remember to also check with the Security Department in the Lobby if the lost item is not at the Circulation Desk.

Book Drop

Books can be returned at the Circulation Desk or in the book drop during Library hours.

Paging Service

The Library provides a paging service for calls of an emergency nature.

Telephones

Telephones for brief, professional, in-house calls are located on the wall near the Electronic Training Classroom, across from the Media Center Desk, on the main floor of the Library.

Not on Shelf

If you don't find something on the shelf, check the to make sure that the item is indeed available. (A book may be in circulation; a journal may be at the bindery.) Also check the book trucks at the copier locations and the shelving area on the lower level.
