“Building Bridges”: LGBTQ Law Enforcement Liaisons and Their Work

Police officers across New Jersey now receive training on how to interact with transgender and gender non-binary people. This new initiative is expected to protect residents from discrimination based on gender identity. Lt. Hayes and PO Johnson will share their own experiences as LGBTQ law enforcement liaisons in their own units and how this training is being received by their colleagues.
