Using collaborative resources is essential in data sciences. Whether it involves storing completed datasets, sharing computation scripts, or building code with a team, knowing how to use a central repository will make teamwork and code sharing much easier. One such way is through the popular website GitHub, which is a cloud-based service that allows users storage and management of their code. This workshop will introduce students to GitHub and the Git open-source control system. *It will be a good idea to visit www.github.com and make a profile prior to the start of the workshop.
