Using the Street View function of Google Maps, this workshop explores the full functionality of this free resource and how to use it to create a drawing of a landscape or specific buildings. We discuss the history of Google Maps, its “time machine” feature for discovering street view captures across years, embedded metadata, and other applications of Google Maps in academic work and personal life. Whitney Kehl, Graduate Spcialist at the Margery Somers Foster Center, is the workshop leader.
