Intro to Geographic Information Systems (GIS) using ArcGIS Pro

Intro to Geographic Information Systems (GIS) using ArcGIS Pro

Geographic Information Systems are research tools which are useful across disciplines.

In this interactive workshop, we will learn about GIS using ArcGIS Pro to explore the basics of the application: the interface, adding and visualizing data, creating a map layout which we can either export as a PDF or share as a web map.  We will also explore geospatial data types.

Make sure to register for an ArcGIS Online account before the start of the workshop: https://rutgers.maps.arcgis.com/home/index.html
More information may be found at the Rutgers Software Portal: https://software.rutgers.edu/product/3663

Please also download the ArcGIS Pro application.  This requires a Microsoft Windows operating system.  The application is also available through the Rutgers Virtual Computer Labs.  https://it.rutgers.edu/virtual-computer-labs/   An ArcGIS Online account is needed to log in.
Instructions for downloading ArcPro may be found here: https://libguides.rutgers.edu/gis/ArcGIS
