Description
RIPM with Full Text is an index of music magazines and journals published in Europe and North America from the 18th to mid-20th centuries. It is useful for the study of music, musical life, and music history. Publications are indexed from cover to cover, including articles, reviews, illustrations, music examples, advertisements, and press reviews. The database includes over 1 million records from over 300 publications. Each record includes a full citation, indexing, and an abstract. Many also include the full text. Additional historic periodicals are added to the database every six months.
This database is produced by the organization RIPM, Répertoire International de la Presse Musicale. It is the electronic counterpart and continuation of the print publication RIPM in Print.
