Artist Sam Alden will speak about the history of the comics that he has made and describe the process of making his newest project, the collection Castles, Freeways, Sunsets, Jobs. This Digital Scholarship as 21st-Century Pedagogy (DS21P) event is free and open to the public.
Sam Alden is a cartoonist from Portland, Oregon. He is the author of the books New Construction, It Never Happened Again, and Haunter. Since 2015, he has worked as a writer and storyboarder on Cartoon Network’s Adventure Time and Summer Camp Island.
About DS21P: Digital Scholarship as 21st-Century Pedagogy (DS21P) is a series of undergraduate courses connected by the concept of digital storytelling. DS21P programming is supported by a Rutgers–Newark Chancellor’s Seed Grant.
