Give Your Data Some Love this Week
It’s Love Data Week, which means that research data specialists around the world are campaigning to raise awareness and build a conversation around topics related to research data management, sharing, preservation, reuse, and library-based research data services.
Rutgers University Libraries in New Brunswick are marking the occasion with a number of special events, including free workshops on visualizing data using R (today at the Library of Science and Medicine and tomorrow at Alexander Library) along with a special meet-and-greet with our resident data specialists on Thursday at the Library of Science and Medicine.
"Love Data Week is a good time to reflect on our data management practices, whether it’s in the lab or for our own personal digital projects,” said Laura Palumbo, chemistry and physics librarian and science data specialist. “Why not take some time to find out how to make improvements that will make you more efficient, and life a little easier?”
The Libraries in New Brunswick have data experts who can help you plan, organize, share, and preserve your research data. They’re ready to help with your questions and projects, large or small. For more information, visit libraries.rutgers.edu/data or contact them at firstname.lastname@example.org.
