On June 5, Rutgers University Libraries are releasing QuickSearch, a new streamlined search interface. In response to feedback from the Rutgers community that our collections were difficult to navigate and access, we’re making it easier than ever to search for library resources, request materials, and manage your library account within a single integrated interface. We want to make sure you can find what you need, when you need it.
QuickSearch will replace a number of existing library services, including:
- The Library Catalog
- Electronic Journals & Publications
- Citation Linker
Our collection is not changing size. In fact, the QuickSearch will allow you to search more resources and get more results with greater efficiency, accuracy, and relevancy.
As you might imagine, migrating more than 4.3 million books, 730,000 e-books, along with thousands of databases, journal subscriptions, streaming media files, DVDs, CDs, records, and more is a complex undertaking and will have far-reaching consequences. To learn more about how this will impact saved searches and items; links and bookmarks; summer course reserves; and more, please visit our QuickSearch news page.
If you have any questions or suggestions for the QuickSearch team, please send them to email@example.com. As always, our librarians are also available to provide research assistance or troubleshoot services via https://www.libraries.rutgers.edu/help.
We can’t wait to share QuickSearch with the Rutgers community.
