The New PubMed Is Here
PubMed comprises more than 30 million citations for biomedical literature from MEDLINE, life science journals, and online books.
When you visit PubMed you will see a blue banner inviting you to try the new PubMed. The biggest change is that your search results will be sorted by a “best match” ranking by default not by the “most recent” ranking.
The new PubMed is richly featured, including advanced search, search details, search history, filters, My NCBI, links from MeSH, and more.
Try it out at libraries.rutgers.edu/indexes/pubmed.
The new PubMed boasts some great new display, navigation, and output features in a truly responsive design that facilitates mobile access, including to the full text when available from the publisher, PMC, or your library (via Outside Tool).
Improvements to retrieval include enhanced synonymy, addition of plural forms, better British/American translations, and unlimited truncation.
