Submissions invited for 4th annual undergraduate multimedia award

The Rutgers University Libraries invite submissions for the Fourth Annual Margery Somers Foster Undergraduate Multimedia Award. The award acknowledges the creative use of university library collections and resources in the production of a multimedia-based project focused on women's or gender issues. All Rutgers University undergraduates of any discipline are eligible to apply.

A total of four award semifinalists will be selected to present their projects at a Celebrating Creativity event at the Mabel Smith Douglass Library on Wednesday, April 16, 2014 from 3 – 5 p.m.. The recipient of the Fourth Annual Margery Somers Foster Undergraduate Multimedia Award will be presented with an award of $300 at the Celebrating Creativity event.

Organized in conjunction with Undergraduate Research Month, this is a unique opportunity for undergraduate scholars to showcase their multimedia projects with faculty, students, university administrators, librarians, and members of the public.

Possible project submissions may include (but are in no way limited to): Video interviews, video documentaries, dynamic websites, creative multimedia performances, mash-ups, video art/poetry, and other innovative digital multimedia projects.

Submissions must include this completed form along with the link to your project. If your project is not available on the Web, you also have the option of submitting a copy of your project on DVD, CD, or USB to Kayo Denda at the Douglass Library. You can drop your project off in person, or by campus mail. All application materials must be submitted by 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday, March 26, 2014.
